Find Extra Space

It’s amazing what can be done with seemingly useless spaces. Start looking at places like the back of the closet door, the inside of a cabinet door or the empty wall space above the toilet. Here are a few ingenious ways to use those spaces:

• Don’t waste the space above the toilet. Add a floating shelf or buy a unit like this one from Home Decorator.
• These plastic shoe bags are so versatile. They can be used for kitchen or office supplies. I’ve had clients use them for kid’s socks and hair accessories.
